"Powerful Prayer"
I. Prayer is activated by faith. It is not enough just to pray, but to pray believing.
II. Prayer is accelerated by faithfulness. The more we are faithful in the little things the more it pleases Him to give us what we are asking for.
III. Prayer is accompanied by praise. Paul and Silas were in prison and they found something to praise God for.

I. Successful prayer involves seeking. Searching for God with your whole heart and not just when convenient.
II. Successful prayer involves honesty. James 5:16 Our prayers can't be successful if we go to God thinking we deserve something.
III. Successful prayer involves obedience. I John 3:22 If you are willfully sinning you have no guarantee God will answer your prayers.
The changes come about if our prayers work.

i. Some got upset because they owned the hogs. Will you get rid of your sin?

IV. Some got upset because they liked ham for breakfast. Will you miss the sinful behavior?
V. Some got upset because they lived in a free country and they should be able to do as they please. Will you get on God's side?
When revival comes it may cost us something.

I. We need a revival of believing. Do you really believe that God can still save sinners?

IV. We need a revival of giving. Luke 6:38 Money, talents, time.

B. The cause of the condition - laziness.

III. How is Heaven 'happified'? Luke15:10 Tell someone about Jesus. Believe on Jesus Christ.

B. The second hindrance is "weights". Slow you down - things that hurt your testimony.

Our love for Christ ought to be the motivation for all we do.

a. We are made in God's image, but animals are not.

5. v5 - The work must be distributed evenly. God has you here for a reason.

1. God can still save America. What's wrong with America is God's people.
2. God can still revive a dead church. No matter how cold or dead.
3. God can still supply our needs. According to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
4. God can still forgive our sins. I John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
5. God can still save sinners. The same God who parted the Red Sea still has the power to save sinners today.

4. Heaven is simply out of this world. The presence of God Almighty makes it heaven.

3. There had to be a plan enacted for our salvation. John 3:16 Jesus the Spotless One was given on our behalf.

1. Jesus surrendered Himself completely and totally to the will of the Father. He could have surrendered to the crowds wanting Him to be King or to Pilate and the Romans.
2. In my hands 5 loaves and 2 fish is lunch, but in the hands of Jesus it was an all you can eat buffet for 10,000 people.
3. Romans 6:13, 16, 19 - Are you yielded to the hands of God or to tradition or organizations or job or family?
4. Romans 12:1 - Do what Jesus did and present your body as a living sacrifice.

1. This is the Lord's day. Every day is a day God has formed and fashioned for us to live in. What will you do with today?
2. This is the Lord's earth. People don't acknowledge it, but it is still true: God created the heavens and the earth and still controls it.
3. I am the Lord's child. Nothing compares to being a child of the King. We are His by creation, salvation, and re-creation.

III. There will be comfort in seeing ultimate satisfaction. Our goal is to be like Jesus.
